About

My name is Lauren Irene Lynch Felton. As my friends have often pointed out, my initials may also stand for “Lesbian I’d Like to Fuck.” I might be going out on a limb here, but I do not believe my parents ever foresaw that one.

Literary Lens is a creativity blog focused on writing and photography. I’ve been blogging on and off since the age of 9, but this particular website started as 10 blog entries contemplating ethical, political, and artistic concerns within the field of photography, written for a course I took in Spring 2009. In addition to the main blog on this site, I have two tumblelogs: a main Tumblr where I write about various social and political interests of mine, and a second one called Life on Venus, where I share funny stories about my mother, a self-identified Venusian.

Apart from that, I’m a 21-year-old college Senior majoring in English and Sociology at Rutgers University. I’m also part of the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers, and after completing undergrad in 2011 I will earn my teaching certification in 2012. Besides classes, I spend most of my time during the year attending various club meetings (many geared towards social action and LGBTQ rights), writing, taking pictures and drinking as much coffee as humanly possible. Some would argue that the amount I consume is not, in fact, humanly possible, and that I am some sort of unnatural creature with caffeine running through my veins. I acknowledge that this is a completely justified argument.
