About

My name is Lauren Irene Lynch Felton. As my friends have often pointed out, my initials may also stand for “Lesbian I’d Like to Fuck.” I might be going out on a limb here, but I do not believe my parents ever foresaw that one.

Apart from that, I’m a 20-year-old college Junior majoring in English and sociology at Rutgers University. After undergrad, I will (hopefully) obtain my teaching certification and go into education. Besides classes, I spend most of my time during the year attending various club meetings (many geared towards social action and LGBTQ rights), writing, taking pictures and drinking as much coffee as humanly possible. Some would argue that the amount I consume is not, in fact, humanly possible, and that I am some sort of unnatural creature with caffeine running through my veins. I acknowledge that this is a completely justified argument.

Literary Lens is a creativity blog focused on writing and photography. What began as a project for an English course (entitled, you guessed it, Writing and Photography) blossomed into a new project that reignited my passion for the personal website I’d neglected for quite some time. Those 10 original entries contemplating the ethical, political, and artistic questions within the field of photography were imported to my regular blog, then looking-in.net, and the site’s focus was transformed. As part of that transformation, I’m back with a new domain and a completely revamped website, literarylens.org.
